Extensive and neatly presented QEII collection in 24 albums/binders and 31 year packs, filling three large boxes, issues to 2014 with very little duplication, including SG boxed hingeless albums and Post Office binders for smiler sheets etc, with an excellent beginning of complete MNH Wildings incl. the inverted and sideways watermark sets, Waterlow castles MNH, all the phosphor commem sets MNH, etc, some specialisation on the Machins and regionals, extensive booklets both folded and prestige from early issues onwards, postal workers Christmas presentation sheets, etc, as well as FDCs in nine of the volumes. Face value alone well in excess of £9,800, most likely over £10,000.

Highlights include a specialised collection of St. Helena stamps and postal history, and a very extensive and impressive holding of Russian postal history with a particular focus on the Post Offices Abroad. The latter collector’s interests also extended through the Baltics to excellent Scandinavian Locals, as well as around the Eastern Mediterranean from the Balkans to Palestine and Egypt.
Amongst the postcards offered in the sale are fantastic albums from a dedicated collector, of high-quality and comprehensively assembled, which include transport related cards of Leeds, Skipton, Lancaster, Teesside and Middlesbrough as well as excellent general Yorkshire cards.
