Collection in three boxed Stanley Gibbons hingeless albums and nine further stockbooks/binders, with early issues including four margins penny black with lightly struck red Maltese cross postmark, perf 2d blue plate 15 unused, etc, through to a good range of mint pre-decimal QEII incl. Waterlow castles set (SG.536/539), St. Edward's Crown wmk set, Red Cross phosphor set, etc. The later sets are mostly in multiple format with many traffic lights, 1st class commem full sheets and 'smilers' sheets including the 2000/'01 Christmas pair (LS2/LS3, cat. £250), total face value will exceed £2,000.

Highlights include a specialised collection of St. Helena stamps and postal history, and a very extensive and impressive holding of Russian postal history with a particular focus on the Post Offices Abroad. The latter collector’s interests also extended through the Baltics to excellent Scandinavian Locals, as well as around the Eastern Mediterranean from the Balkans to Palestine and Egypt.
Amongst the postcards offered in the sale are fantastic albums from a dedicated collector, of high-quality and comprehensively assembled, which include transport related cards of Leeds, Skipton, Lancaster, Teesside and Middlesbrough as well as excellent general Yorkshire cards.
