A Staffordshire Pottery Jug, commemorating Sir Robert Peel, circa 1850, of fluted baluster form with scroll handle, printed in underglaze blue with Peel on horseback and a bust portrait within a laurel wreath, the based printed LAMENTED BY AN EMPIRE, SIR R PEEL, 21cm high

Jug in good condition, with some staining throughout particularly on handle. Plate with 3.5cm long hairline crack to rim, 3.5cm long glaze crack to reverse, four pin head sized firing faults to front rim, one to reverse. Bowl with old restored 1cm rim chip, area to side at base with 4x7cm old overspray (not sure what is underneath, possibly a repaired hole and crack), significant area of old overspray to interior. 100610
