Natural History: A Silver Plate Mounted Horse Hoof Ink Well, by Rowland Ward Ltd, 167 Piccadilly, London, a silver plated horse hoof ink well , the hinged lid engraved - " Violet, 1900-1928", original liner and bottle within, overall height 8cm, stamped to the underside of the shoe - "Rowland Ward Ltd, 167 Piccadilly", together with a white metal mounted Deer Slot ink well, with supporting brass legs, the hinged lid engraved - "E.J.S, Killed 7th Sept 03 at Bramham Moor by the Devon & Somerset Staghounds", overall height 13cm, and a white metal mounted Fallow Deer Slot, with attached circular hanging hoop, 28cm, (3).
