An exciting range of material separated from the chaotic working holding of a Ceylon collector, including intact 1899 folder of 107 different stamps sent 'with compliments of His Highness the Maharaja of Jammu and Kashmir, a complete set of the obsolute (sic) Postage & Telegraph stamps of this State', each stamp described in ink along with handwritten reference 'Hints for Primitive Collectors'. A further approx. 400 stamps in a vintage (c.1900) drawing book, plus various individual purchases from dealers. A famously challenging field of collecting, enormous potential here when researched.
