An 18 carat gold emerald and diamond cluster necklace, the pear cut emerald in a yellow rubbed over setting, within a border of round brilliant cut diamonds in white claw settings, suspended from a single round brilliant cut diamond in white rubbed over setting, to a yellow curb link chain, total estimated diamond weight 1.05 carat approximately, pendant length 2.5cm, chain length 43cm

. The necklace was valued for insurance purposes in 2003 at £2600. The necklace is in good condition. It fastens with a lobster claw catch. The clasp is hallmarked with sponsor's mark 'DOM', Sheffield, 2003. There are visible inclusions in the emerald and it is likely to have been treated, we have no indication of origin as piece is not certificated. The emerald measures 9.0mm x 4.9mm x 2.9mm approximately. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; colour I/J/K, clarity SI2/I1/I2. Gross weight 5.2 grams.
