Taxidermy: A Eurasian Bittern (Botaurus stellaris), dated 1878, a full mount adult perched atop a short tree branch, with head turning to the left, above reeds, moss and painted groundwork, overall height 67cm, previously part of The James Harrison Collection, Sevenoaks, Kent, data label to underside - Shot at Weald near Sevenoaks 1878, restored June 1931.
