An Early 20th Century French-Style Kingwood and Parcel-Gilt Bowfront Triple-Door Wardrobe, the reeded and arched canopy above a central cupboard door with quarter-veneered panels, enclosing a mahogany-lined interior with hanging space, shelves, two small drawers and four mahogany sliding trays, the verso of the door with a plain mirror plate, flanked by conforming bowfront cupboard doors enclosing a shelf, hanging space and a shoe rack, on a plinth base

Reasonable condition, however, the wardrobe does have some scuffs and bruises, which includes the bowfront doors (as photographed). The end panels have some further scuffs. The timber to the left-hand panel is rather dry and with some small splits. The wardrobe splits into sections, the cornice is one piece, the base is another. The interior has previously been fitted with a sliding tray/shelf which is missing. The wardrobe doors are open, but there is no key. Please see further images online.

Auction: The Selected Contents of Bell Hall, 15th Nov, 2024
An eclectic and decorative mixture of antiques and contemporary art will be coming under the hammer this autumn, when the Selected Contents of Bell Hall, Naburn, York, will appear in a single-owner sale at Tennants Auctioneers on 15th November.
The collection was put together over several decades, and draws together good period oak furniture, folk art, 19th century samplers, and Asian art alongside modern and contemporary paintings, ceramics and works of art, many pieces with an animal theme.
