1910-1937 collection of the official postal stationery for the yearly National Fête, neatly displayed and written-up on pages, without the very few scarcest cards, but otherwise comprehensive, a majority both unused and used including lots of first day cancels. Includes the airpost types of 1928 to 1931 complete unused in high quality and many first day usages to 1930 plus balloon flights. Also the different photo scene varieties on the 1931-34 issues and 1940s/50s non-denominated issues (all extra to the Zumstein listing). A very pleasing display and excellent basis for further completion. Catalogue well over SFR5,000 (£4,500 at time of press). From the collection of Tony Hoyle, former President of the Helvetia Philatelic Society of Great Britain.

Highlights of the October 30th Stamp Sale include a very extensive collection of Switzerland assembled over a lifetime by a former President of the Helvetia Society of Great Britain with focus on postal history beautifully written-up on album pages; a specialised collection of Ceylon with many of the key stamps including an excellent range of classics plus King George V key-plate high values, plus from the same estate a group of the Indian State of Jammu & Kashmir including a complete presentation album sent out in 1899 on behalf of the Maharajah. Also an extremely interesting large folio presentation volume of 19th Turkish revenue proof sets with ornate binding suggesting a possibly unique production for the Ottoman royal family.
