1914-1924 sheets and a part sheet incorporating tête-bêche and se-tenant pairs: scarce and magnificent 1914 William Tell 10cts red and 15cts violet upper four rows of sheet (constituting six complete booklet panes), hinged only in margin, including four hole-punched zwischensteg (gutter) pairs and four vertical se-tenant pairs. Then full sheets of the 20cts on 25cts Helvetia (Z.151) and 5cts grey-violet Tellknabe (Z.157) + 10cts green Tell (Z.153), both sheets entirely MNH. Catalogue over SFR1,000 as various pairs and singles (£900 at time of press). From the collection of Tony Hoyle, former President of the Helvetia Philatelic Society of Great Britain.

Highlights of the October 30th Stamp Sale include a very extensive collection of Switzerland assembled over a lifetime by a former President of the Helvetia Society of Great Britain with focus on postal history beautifully written-up on album pages; a specialised collection of Ceylon with many of the key stamps including an excellent range of classics plus King George V key-plate high values, plus from the same estate a group of the Indian State of Jammu & Kashmir including a complete presentation album sent out in 1899 on behalf of the Maharajah. Also an extremely interesting large folio presentation volume of 19th Turkish revenue proof sets with ornate binding suggesting a possibly unique production for the Ottoman royal family.
