Collection in a vintage Windsor loose-leaf album, with space-filler penny black and much other line-engraved incl. all but a handful of 1d red plates from 71, pl.213 mint, interesting surface-printed incl. 2/- pale possibly milky blue, 2/- brown missing corner of wing-margin othewise sound (margin could be cut still leaving 2mm clear of frame), stated inverted wmk 3d on 3d (SG.159Wi) difficult to ascertain and requires inspection, 1883 10/- strong case for the scarce cobalt shade (SG.182, cat. £8,250), a nice range of later QV mint on a blank page with jubilees to 10d and varieties incl. 5d Die I in very attractive quality (SG.207, cat. £800), EdVII to 10/-, etc, etc. A collection with great potential, as has its parent Lot 245 in this sale.
