Taxidermy: A Large Late Victorian Diorama of Sea and Estuary Birds, circa 1880-1900, a high quality diorama containing forteen various birds, to include - Curlew, two Guillemots, two Bar-tailed godwits, Ringed plover, two Knots, Oystercatcher, Wigeon, Grey plover, Common scoter, and two Sanderlings, all mounted upon and around a large painted faux rockscape, amidst natural wispy grasses, above grit and pebble covered groundwork, set against a pale blue painted back drop, enclosed within a period ebonised three-glass display case with gilt slip border, 124cm by 36cm by 93.5cm
